A successful professional development program is more than a single event or workshop; it is an ongoing process that provides support to teachers and administrators as the navigate the changing world of mathematics education. MSMI works with schools to develop a long term program of professional development for teachers that integrates mathematics content, teaching strategies, and curricular development for their classrooms. Aligned with both Common Core State Standards and Minnesota state standards, MSMI offers single-day and multi-day institutes, as well as long term consulting services. MSMI's curricular support lays out the content, scope, and pedagogical techniques needed to implement these standards. MSMI supports schools as they adapt to new state standards and new curricula to ensure their students achieve mastery of Algebra 1 in grade 8. |
