An Intro to Singapore Math for Instructors is an overview of the Singapore's Primary Mathematics curriculum. Appropriate for classroom and homeschooling instructors, this 3 session series provides an understanding of what Singapore Math is teaching, why it teaches those elements, and how it teaches those elements. Taught in three half day sessions, each independent of the others, these sessions help orient instructors to both the big picture goals of Singapore's Primary Mathematics elementary math instruction as well as the detailed methods and tasks used in individual lessons. Session 1 is on February 11, 2012 and covers Singapore Math Primary Mathematics, Levels 1A - 2B. Session 2 is on March 10, 2012 and covers Singapore Math Primary Mathematics, Levels 3A - 4B. Each session is from 9 AM - 2:30 PM, and the fee is $20.00 per session. Session 3 will be scheduled based on interest. Sessions are held at the education building of Hamline United Methodist Church, 1514 Englewood Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104-1299.
